How to Learn the Peg Memory System using Flashcards

The peg system of memory can be used to remember a list of 100 items and is a particularly good system to teach your kids

A good way to teach them is using flashcards

You can flash the picture that represents the number - in this case Nail represents 25.

And in the next card, flash the name and the associated number.

What is a Number Dots Card?

I heard about number dots card after reading Glenn Doman's book How to Teach Your Baby Math . Essentially, these are cards with random dots (usually red) printed on them. You can use them like flash cards that train your kid to recognize the concept of a number in terms of its quantity (i.e. the dots) instead of its symbolic representation (i.e. the numeral system as we know).

Hear from the late Glenn Doman in the video below as he passionately makes this point across.

If you want to give this a try, you can start with a basic set of 50 cards from 1 to 50 (see screenshot) to get your kid going.
